Short version: we collect detailed behavior data about how you use Tokkah to improve the product, and we never sell your data.
1. Who We Are
Tokkah is a movie discovery service that shows short movie clips and helps you decide what to watch. In this policy, "Tokkah," "we," "us," and "our" mean the operator of this website and app.
Tokkah is a doing-business-as (DBA) name of Quiz Social, Inc.: 651 N Broad St, Suite 201, Middletown, DE 19709, United States.
2. Information We Collect

- Pseudonymous IDs, such as app user ID, device ID, and browser fingerprint.
- Session and preference details, such as language/locale, country selection, subtitle/sound choices, and consent choices.
- Support or contact messages you send us.
2.2 Usage and Event Data
- Detailed behavior data about how you use the app, such as clips shown, watch time, skips, starts, finishes, and recommendation clicks.
- Interaction data, such as player actions and timing metrics used to improve speed and quality.
- Feature and experiment context (for example feature flags or product experiments).
2.3 Technical and Security Data
- IP address (or forwarded IP), browser type, device type, operating system, network details, and request logs.
- Security and abuse-prevention signals, including rate-limit and fraud-prevention data.
2.4 Payment Data
- If you buy paid features, checkout is processed by Stripe.
- We receive payment metadata such as plan, currency, payment status, and checkout session ID.
- We do not store full card numbers or card security codes on our servers.
2.5 Cookies and Local Storage
- We use browser storage and cookies to keep you signed in, remember settings, and keep the app stable.
- If login is enabled, an authentication session cookie may be used (typical max age is up to 14 days).
- Device and session state may be saved in local storage so your experience continues between visits.

- To provide the core service and stream content.

We use detailed app behavior data only to improve Tokkah, including product quality, recommendations, reliability, and user experience.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties or anyone else.
We do not use your data to sell ads to you or advertise to you without your explicit permission.
4. When We Share Information
We may share data with trusted providers that help us run the service, including:
- Authentication providers (for example WorkOS).
- Payment processors (for example Stripe).
- Cloud hosting, storage, and delivery providers.
- Security and infrastructure service providers.
We may also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a business transfer (for example merger, acquisition, or asset sale).
If we offer ads in the future, we will ask for your explicit permission first and clearly state what specific data you agree to share for a specific ad experience.
5. Data Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Typical retention windows in our systems include:
- Analytics event data: commonly around 30 days (may vary by environment settings).
- Some short-lived recommendation watch signals: around 2 days.
- Some recommendation counters and related billing-fraud controls: up to about 120 days.
- Billing and legal records: as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- You can control some privacy choices in-app, including analytics/personalization consent and do-not-track options when available.
- You can manage cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
- You can request access, export, correction, or deletion of your data where applicable law allows.
- You can ask us to close your account or stop processing data that is not legally required.
7. International Data Transfers
Our providers may process data in different countries. When data is transferred internationally, we use reasonable safeguards required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect data, such as encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method is 100% secure, but we work to reduce risk.
9. Children
Tokkah is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it where required.
